Cut and pasted from the Southbank Centre website:
"‘The capital’s biggest annual showcase of cool writing from around the world.’ - Time Out.
Have an adventure in great literature or take part in discussions with artists, writers and thinkers.
Our annual summer London Literature Festival (30 June – 14 July) features Alan Hollinghurst, Philip Pullman, Iain Sinclair, Gilbert and George, Liz Lochhead, Alexander McCall Smith, Michael Morpurgo, Zaha Hadid and many more.
We present the world premiere production of Jeanette Winterson’s classic, Sexing the Cherry, set on the banks of the muddy Thames in 17th-century London. From the past we come to the present with our State of the Nation discussions, and into the future with our Futurology events discussing utopias and dystopias to come.
‘The magnificent London Literature Festival.’ - The Independent."
