Just a very quick post to thank the BFI for a fabulous London Lesbian and Gay Film Festival! There was such a rich, varied and diverse range of films programmed, and I really enjoyed the films I caught as part of the Festival.

My personal favourites were the two HIV and AIDS activism films:

How to Survive a Plague:
A vital, Oscar-nominated chronicle of how a community united to fight for their lives in the face of government resistance to seek new cures for the AIDS epidemic.

United in Anger: A History of Act Up:
An inspiring insider’s account of the radical protest group, the Aids Coalition to Unleash Power, generally known as ACT-UP.

And the Palestine/Israel gay love story:

Out in the Dark:
A powerful and sensitive love story from Israel, set against the backdrop of political conflict.

All in all, a very enjoyable and educational Film Festival - Thank you BFI!
