Fantastic weekend in Haslemere, Surrey: June 15th - 17th 2012
Celebrating the life and works of one of our most renowned authors, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

Raks's Write-Up

I had the best time ever at the Conan Doyle Weekend!

There were dinners, theatre plays, walks, talks, films, and lunches. All in the company of fellow Sherlockians and Holmesians, but also with lots of local Surrey people. All in all, it was an amazing range of events and activities.

My personal highlight was the Murder Mystery Evening because my latent acting genius was FINALLY recognised as I was chosen to play the grieving widow, Julia Oakington. I had the choice of playing a grieving widow or a French tart. To preserve my reputation!, I opted for Julia Oakington, the grieving widow. The Murder Mystery Evening was the most fun I have had in ages and I would highly recommend the company who organised and ran it for us - the Irregular Special Players.

The website for the Irregular Special Players can be found here:

Here are the photographic highlights of that evening.

Finally, I would like to extend a warm THANK YOU to all those responsible for planning, organising and running the Conan Doyle Weekend. I had THE best time!
