Andrew Scott, Design for Living, Old Vic

I had not heard of Mr Scott before Sherlock. Then Sherlock aired and his performance in The Great Game blew me away!!! Purely off the back of that, I booked to see Design for Living (in which Mr Scott was starring) at the Old Vic last year.

It turned out to be one of my top three London theatre experiences last year and that was purely down to the strong central performance of Mr Scott. So let us give it up for the genius of Andrew Scott!!!

Firstly, once again, I am going to steal Belle's thunder and put up a photo of Benedict and Andrew at the first night party for Design for Living.

And now, the infamous drunk scene from Design for Living, which was absolutely hilarious!!!

Please use the comments to talk about the genius of Andrew Scott.

The Old Vic's current booking season is TO DIE FOR!!!

The Old Vic is here:

Two key highlights are:

Cause Celebre

To celebrate the centenary year of Terence Rattigan’s birth we are delighted to welcome Thea Sharrock to The Old Vic to direct Niamh Cusack and Anne-Marie Duff in his final play Cause Célèbre. Based on the true story of Alma Rattenbury who went on trial with her 18-year-old lover for the murder of her husband, Cause Célèbre is an intriguing tale of love, betrayal, loyalty and obsession.

Richard III

The final season of The Bridge Project starring Kevin Spacey in the title role of Richard III and directed by Sam Mendes, previews at The Old Vic from 18 June 2011.

Ticket prices at the Old Vic start from £10 - this is one of the best theatre bargains in London. I am now a Friend at the Old Vic and I highly recommend it to everyone as a beautiful theatre with amazing architectural features, where you can see plays cheaply in good seats, and with a diverse audience, with a warm, friendly and welcoming vibe.

The Old Vic - Highly Recommended.
