Macbeth gets its NT Live tomorrow, so it will be broadcast live from the Manchester International Festival into cinemas across the UK and around the world.

By William Shakespeare

National Theatre Live will broadcast Manchester International Festival’s electrifying production of Macbeth, with Kenneth Branagh, in his first Shakespeare performance in over a decade, as Macbeth and Alex Kingston as Lady Macbeth.

Directed by Olivier and Tony Award-winner Rob Ashford and BAFTA Award-winner Kenneth Branagh, this unique production of Shakespeare’s tragic tale of ambition and treachery unfolds within the walls of an intimate deconsecrated Manchester church.

The NT Live website, where you can find out more information about the production and also find your nearest cinema showing NT Live, is here:

I have not seen this production but I am very much looking forward to seeing it at my local cinema, the Brixton Ritzy, on Saturday as part of NT Live.

It is a real privilege to be able to see a Manchester theatre production in London!
