Journey to Mecca: In the Footsteps of Ibn Battuta

Journey to Mecca is a dramatic and documentary feature for IMAX®, filmed in Saudi Arabia and Morocco in English and in Arabic, which tells the amazing story of Ibn Battuta, one of the greatest travellers of all time.

The film follows his first pilgrimage in 1325 from Tangier to Mecca. His perilous journey resonates with adventure while presenting an unforgettable picture of Islamic civilization during the 14th century. The film culminates with Ibn Battuta's first Hajj and dissolves into the most stunning modern day footage of the Hajj ever recorded in IMAX® with over 3 million pilgrims.

The Swivel Theatre Company: Classic theatre … with a twist

A Moroccan Twelfth Night at The Cockpit Theatre in March 2012

Twelfth Night returns to the London fringe with a Swivel Theatre Company production. Set in the late 1920s Morocco, Swivel’s unique interpretation will be a feast of live music, traditional dance and raucous laughter. Booking is now open.

I am part of the Swivel Theatre Company's Events and Fundraising Team. There is now an excellent video on our website, which features our Feste (Leo) and our Malvolio (Tibu), talking about their characters and the production. They are two of my favourite actors in the production. Follow the link to see the video:
