Simply because he is one of my favourite characters in Rev - he speaks to my heart!

Cut and pasted from the BBC website:

The smooth, urbane and eloquent Archdeacon is officially Adam's moral tutor – however, his fearsome managerial style is more terrifying than nurturing.

He's the Bishop's eyes and ears in the parish and has a knack for appearing at the most inopportune moments – whether it's a Sunday service visit on the day Adam has his smallest congregation since arriving in London, or catching Adam unawares in the pub.

Simon McBurney is a highly acclaimed multi-award-winning actor, writer and director. He was awarded an OBE in the 2005 Queen's New Year's Honours List for his services to drama. He is a founder and artistic director of the influential and famously inventive theatre company Complicite.

Cut and pasted from the Metro website:

The new series of Sherlock will see Holmes and Watson, come to blows, as the detective tells his faithful colleague to 'punch me in the face'.

Sherlock returns to our screens at the start of January with three more Conan Doyle inspired mysteries: A Scandal in Belgravia, The Hounds of Baskerville and The Reichenbach Fall.

Benedict Cumberbatch recently said that he believes Sherlock 'gains a humanity' in the second series of the eponymous show.

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows

One of my very good friends has actually had the audacity to go and see this film, against my advice!

This is her review:
"You’ll be disappointed in me, but we went to see the Game of Shadows Sherlock film, and love it….I know it’s both a bit overly dramatic with the effects, and a little bit pantomime as well, but it was a lot of fun for us as non-purists…! G".

It goes without saying that I am NEVER speaking to her again!

In response David M has said this: "Wild horses wouldn't drag me to see that one".
David M - You and I are in total (100%) agreement!

Sherlock reclaims The Umbrella Organisation

This is a heads up to say that with Sherlock Series 2 just about to go live across the BBC, I have a sneaky suspicion that Sherlock will be reclaiming his rightful place as top dog at The Umbrella Organisation. The community is going to be saturated with Sherlock (huge apologies to David B!).
