I have no clue whatsoever who is behind this, but Sherlockology - a new fansite dedicated to the BBC drama Sherlock - is launching this month.

Follow the link - there is already a promotional trailer for the new website on there:

I have no idea whether it will be any good or not, but it looks intriguing, and so it is definitely worth checking out when it launches. They are already live on tumblr:

Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy premieres at the BFI Southbank

I am FINALLY going to have to talk about that film ie Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (TTSS). It had its London premiere at the BFI Southbank today. I am afraid I was not there - I was at the Globe watching Doctor Faustus by Christopher Marlowe. You cannot beat a play about selling your soul to the Devil!

Anyway, that means I cannot review TTSS so I will leave it up to those I trust 100% - Empire and the Telegraph. Both gave it 5 stars so I think I am in the real minority here at just not being that bothered about this film!

Firstly, what is the film about? Cut and pasted from Empire:
London, the 1970s: After a fiasco of a covert operation, British Intelligence spymaster Control (Hurt) and his right-hand man George Smiley (Oldman) are sacked. Then shocking but persuasive information that a Soviet mole has penetrated to the heart of the secret service prompts the Whitehall wallahs to task Smiley with spying on the spies.
