BFI Southbank

Aside of the theatre, my other main passion is film. I was as upset about The Social Network, Black Swan and 127 Hours losing out at the Oscars, as I was about Sherlock missing out at the NTAs.

What the National is for theatre, the BFI is for film. The National and the BFI are located next door to eachother. The BFI are here:

The BFI do not show what is on at the cinema. They show film seasons. They do preview screenings. They do free Q&As that come with the screenings. They have film notes. They do not run adverts. They do not allow food in to the cinemas. It is a film buff's dream. I love it there. My association with the BFI does not date back as far as my association with the National - I have only been there for the past 5 years.
