Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat Booksigning, Waterstone's Piccadilly

Thank you to an anonymous livejournaller for tipping me off about this! Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat will be doing a booksigning of the Sherlock Holmes stories, where they have written the introductions, at Waterstone's Piccadilly on Wednesday 2 November at 5.30pm.

Follow the link for more details:

It says that Mark and Steven will be signing copies of these two books but that no merchandise or memorabilia will be signed. This is a good event to go to if you want to meet Mark and Steven, but not if you want to get an autograph on something of value, either in monetary terms or to you personally.

I have Mark's book. If I am honest, I am disappointed in the quality. There are much much much nicer editions available at better prices. The Mark and Steven intros are only 2-3 pages long. The editions have no illustrations, Paget or otherwise. The editions have no photos. There is no "Sherlock" in them, bar the cover branding, which I think is poor (and if I am brutally honest, completely naff!). It is clearly targeting the Dr Who/youth market which misses the point of the new audience/readers attracted to the Canon through Sherlock. So great opportunity to meet Mark and Steven but I do not recommend these editions of the stories in the slightest!

Follow the link for an edition I do thoroughly recommend:
