Belated tribute to Emperor and Galilean!
Raks New Profile Pic Square

Belatedly, in tribute to Emperor and Galilean, and Andrew Scott, and how much the production came to mean to me, and others on this com (mentioning no names!), I have put the original NT Emperor and Galilean poster and flyer on the sidebar. I was very tempted to replace Sherlock and John at the top of the community with it, but this com started with Sherlock and everything grew out of Sherlock and Benedict, so I couldn't do that. However, E&G is now on the sidebar!

First things first, obviously love the avatar - Andrew at the stage door?

"I loved everything about this play." Agree agree agree! You wrote down your thoughts about the play at the time. I was supposed to do a proper review - I still have not done it as I am still thinking about all the characters, and the themes, and how much the play spoke to my heart on a diversity of levels (maybe I am just coming up with excuses not to sit down and get on with it!).

"I miss it very much." This play kept me going through what was a very difficult time at work for me, and it broke my heart to see it go.

"it will always be very special to me." Yes this play was put on the year I became a Christian and a believer, and at a time when I was trying to stand by and live my Christian principles. It speaks to the clash between paganism and Christianity and also how much you are prepared to give up your integrity in pursuit of power. It is also about friendship, and how important it is to have friends who can be truthful and honest to you, and tell you when you are going off kilter.

I, like you, was smitten with this play - it spoke to my heart on so many levels. I hope that one day someone else will have the courage to put it on again.
