Some excellent thoughts and sentiments there. :-)

My Third Star dvd arrived! But I'm going to wait a little to watch it. It's going to be an emotional few days without adding fictional trauma on top right now. I know I've been fortunate to get the dvd at all. Even some pre-orders don't seem to have been fulfilled before stock ran out. The distributors must have seriously underestimated Benedict's pulling power! :-)))

What I will say about this film is that I actually, despite its subject matter, actually, if truth be told, probably because of its subject matter, found it heart-warming and uplifting.

You can watch it with your husband as I personally think this particular film's real "home" target audience is men not women (although women will buy the DVD because it is Benedict!).

I am really glad that the film went out of stock or with a much longer delivery time both at Amazon and HMV - this film, more than most films, deserves to be seen and loved by as wide an audience as possible. I myself have gone all out to sell this film to as many people as possible! I have done the same with Stuart. I don't think I will be prepared to do the same re TTSS!

I got my copy of the dvd today and have just watched it. Just as completely devastating the second time around, but absolutely brilliant and wonderful as well. Don't think I'll ever be able to watch it without falling apart. Such a beautiful film.

Agree agree agree!

Unlike the pair of you, I won't be getting my Third Star DVD for a few weeks because, due to my complete and utter incompetence, I did not order until the last minute, by which time it was out of stock everywhere!
