Mine don't! My favourites are The Blue Carbuncle and Wisteria Lodge.

I always thought 'The Speckled Band' one of the weaker stories. Strange that ACD should rate it so highly himself! It's really very hard to choose favourites though. Like you, I'm fond of 'The Blue Carbuncle'. I also love 'The Norwood Builder', 'The Three Garridebs' and 'Charles Augustus Milverton' – the latter because Holmes shocks Watson with the announcement of his engagement... LOL!

I don't like The Speckled Band much either!
