The People's Bible: Make your mark in history

I chanced upon this project up in Edinburgh. I took part. It was unique and innovative, and it brought history and religion vividly to life.

Cut and pasted from The People's Bible website:

The People’s Bible is a national tour which will produce a unique, hand-written edition of the Bible.

At venues across the country, people will be able to write a pair of verses to join the occasion and make their mark in history.

In the year of the 400th anniversary of the King James Bible, we aim to reconnect the British public with the Bible.

This summer The People's Bible will take the Bible back to Britain's high streets. A national tour will take place offering everyone the opportunity to hand-write a couple of verses and make their mark in history.

The People's Bible is a joint venture between Bible Society in England and Wales and the Scottish Bible Society.

To find out more, and to see how you can be involved, explore the website:

I thoroughly recommend watching the promo video, entitled "What is it all about?". It tells you all about the project.
