Cut and pasted from the Radio Times website:

The Doctor and Clara land on a damaged Russian submarine in 1983 as it spirals out of control into the ocean depths. To make matters worse, an alien creature is loose on board, having escaped from a block of Arctic ice - and with tempers flaring and a cargo of nuclear weapons, it's not just the crew but the whole of humanity at stake.

This episode is written by Mark Gatiss.

Loved this! I remember the original Ice Warriors in the Patrick Troughton days – little me found them very scary and literally used to watch from behind a chair. This lone one wasn't all that frightening, but maybe we'll see more later in the series.

Also enjoyed seeing Tobias Menzies in the cast. I bet he canvassed Mark for a part when they appeared in The Recruiting Officer at the Donmar together. :-))

Weirdly, I saw Tobias Menzies in the BFI just the other day!
